NISARGA- union inaguration (24/3/21)

 Today was our college union inaguration,we are egarly waited for the inaugural ceremony.so we reached the college early to decorate stages and campus surroundings. When the decorations completed, our guests reached. We welcomed and gave refreshments for them. 

Around 10:00 am, our offical program was started. Aleena welcomed our guests, all teaching, non teaching staffs and students. After that one of our chief guest, Dr. Rajan Varghese sir inaugurated our union 'NISARGA' and given a speech. 

Kumari Nayana inaugurate our arts program. A amazing treat was given by Nayana. She invited our union members and teachers to performaned with her. Really a wonderful moment. Each of our teachers performed amazingly.

Our informal arts session started with a prayer dance. After that our offical college band, 'Thelaya' performance helded (akkabala). At the end of our morning session, seniors gave a dance performance for us.Between these sessions, our former seniors gave the Laji Sir Memorial Trophics to College, and they shared their experience with us. At that moment, we remembered our beloved Laji Sir.

 In the afteroon session, we had our dubbing scene competition and music band performance. Also seniors had dance performance.

Joju sir and Deepthi teacher also participated in our dubbing competition. Really that was amazing.

We the Physical science win the first. We did the role in film "  ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണപുരത്തെ  നക്ഷത്ര തിളക്കം" Mathematics win the second and Natural science win the third prizes for dubbing competition

At the end, teachers gave a special dance performance for us.it was a wonderful experience for us

Glucose 64 th college (23/3/21)

 Today the 64th college union arranged fresher's day celebration for us called "Glucose". From the very name of the event it was interesting. They gave us glucose before we enter into the hall, as a signal of danger inside😝.

 The inauguration ceremony started immediately. Our guest of honour was RJ Unni from red FM. His talk was inspiring. He shared his school and college memories with us. After the official inauguration , the stage was all set for "chakkapazham" , the seniors-juniors interactive session. They have all students names in lotts. They call names from the lotts and the student must come forth and accept the task or game given to him/her, that was the plan. They arranged and coordinated wonderfully. In between, refreshment packets were provided, which added an extra star to the program. I too got an opportunity to participate in chakkapazham, It was total fun and engaging. Really loved the treat by our seniors.

Immediately after the wind up of fresher's day celebration, our new union had arranged a flash mob by union members and hostlers to officially announce the 65th union name. They nailed it....totally....❤️❤️❤️ and hence our union is formed. Tommorow we are officially inaugurating our new union "NISARGA" with cultural performances. Afternoon hours was given as time to practice for tommorow's ceremony.. Day ended

Water day(22/3/21)

 

March 22, 2021(Monday) The day started with a prayer in our college chapel, with a positive vibe I entered the General class and the first two hours were taken by Maya mam and mam gave a brief description of today's importance - 22 March is World Water Day. Then mam taught different terms related to Culture. They are- Cultural Lag, Cultural Diffusion, Enculturation, Acculturation, Cultural Inertia, Sanskritisation and Role of Education with regard to culture.

The next hour was engaged by Benedict Sir and sir first gave a gist of the previous class and brushed up our memory. Then sir gave a difference between Probing and Redirection. Probing means the ability of a teacher to provide some clues to the students so that the thought process of the student will e focused. Redirection means shifting from one student to another student. The term Appreciation means it's giving any kind of recognition at the end of the successful response of the student. It is an act of reinforcement. Then sir discussed the 4th Sub Skills:- Explanation.

After the lunch break, we were given time for our Dubsmash practice. When we are out for the way home the Rain drizzled over us with some love and I enjoyed the beauty of raining over the Bethany Hills.

Commission.......March 18,2021

The day started with a prayer in the chapel, and when I entered the classroom seniors were preparing for the presentations. At 10.00 am the presentations started and each one of them had done their part very well with confidence. And their skills were very effective.

After the lunch break, Joju sir asked the natural science department students to present their seminar. And before starting the seminar, sir introduced technology related videos and asked as to observe how the technology is used in the media. In the video, we observed the usage of audio, visual and text. Then sir showed a Helping child video and a lead India patriotic feeling arousing video. Then we discussed the seminar topic merits and demerits of social media.

Sa re ga ma pa......

 Today began with a prayer in the college chapel. First two hours was taken by Dr. Ancy ma'am. Madam taught us about the Italian doctor Maria Montessori, the founder of the Montessori method. Between classes, Madame asks if anyone can sing a song for us. Devika Chechi from English Optional sang a song for us.

The third hour was taken by Maya ma'am. Ma'am has given us some general instructions for the first semesters activities. Then she taught us about Culture, it's definition and cultural lag. 

The fourth, fifth and sixth hours was taken by Joju sir. He taught us the merit and demerits of blackboard. He said that we must plan what to write in the board before we came to the class. Then he has covered the topics, bulletin or notice board, flannel board, magnetic board, peg board and 3D-AIDS:- DIAROMA, MODELS, MOCKUP's, Audio visual aids, activity aids, tips for slide preparation and BB writing, multi media learning and multi-sensory learning.

The seventh and eighth hour was taken by Lakshmi ma'am. She taught us classical music. Onnam kaalam of the maya malava gaula raagam. And the raga is sa..re.. ga.. ma.. pa.. dha.. ni ..sa. Lakshmi ma'am has done several practice sections for us to learn the raga and it was a really good experience. 

Um.. Um therapy

 The day started with prayer in the chappel. The first hour was taken by Giby ma'am. ma'am  taught the rest of the characteristics of personality. She said that we should channelize our mind whenever fear, sorrows, stress came to our life. In a way we can channelize our mind through prayer. We must try be a good listener so that we can avoid so many problems , so that we must practice the um-um therapy.

The second and third hour was taken for sharing our school induction programme experience. And we are asked to sit according to the schools we had visited and we sat according to the schools visited. Then we had shared the experiences as from each group one representative came forward and conveyed it.

Then at the fourth hour, the union oath taking ceremony of 2020-2022 was held in the auditorium.

After the afternoon section, we had a class arranged by the women cell club on" swaya raksha"- self defense. The class was taken by Anees Bhal, Jaya Mary and Athulya from the Kerala police.she began with the theory class. Then she explained about different kinds of method to resist them from attacking us.Then we had a practical section. They taught various opposing steps to defend others.

The classes are very helpful for us.Its a wonderful experience for us.🥰🥰

school induction day 2

 Today was the last day of our school induction programme . We had reception duty at morning 7.45 am to 8.45 am. Then we got an oppurtunity to watch online classes conducted for upper primary students

Then we go to 10 nth classes for watch offline classes and take selfie with our corresponding optional teacher jubina ma'am🥰. Afternoon we had no sessions. Our last day of school induction with lots of fun...... memories.......new experiences.

School induction day 1

 Today was our first day of school induction at Sarvodaya central  vidyalaya (CBSE School).    14 member including me, from different departments reached on the school at 8.00 am. Till 9.00 am we should wait in the library. Then principal  call us and give adequate instructions. We the student teachers go for observing classes of corresponding subjects. Teachers were revise the portions for exam and also make students confident for main exam

After lunch , we looks out through the whole school. We found chemistry lab, Audio visual lab physics lab etc.Our first day at Sarvodaya school ended by 3'O clock. It was an wonderful experience for us.

Bloom where you are planted....

 Today first hour was taken by gibi ma'am.First hour started with a small prayer by parvathy. Then gibi ma'am took class on the characterstics of personality development.We should accept or adjust with the  environment we are planted that means "Bloom where you planted ".

Next hour was taken by Maya ma'am. She taught about Humanism and its importance in education.

We utilised next 2 option hours to do experiments in laboratory related to our association inaguration programme.Then afternoon first hour was taken by joju sir. Sir discussed about writing practicum.

Then today we had our 65th college union election.Around 3.30pm we had a general assembly to announce the results. Gibi ma'am, the incharge for the union election addressed the students which was followed by the announcement of results by our principal. 

Subinjith from natural science turned to be our new chairman. Then Aleena from mathematics as vice chairperson, Nikhil from physical science as General secretary and Deepa Benny from physical science as UUC.

Finally principal give attendance sheet for the next day's induction. Miraculously waiting for tomorrow's school induction.

Demonstration classes(5/3/21)

 Today also we had demonstration class of our senoiurs. They taught about electronic configuration, IC chips and series -parallel combination. They taught very well. Principal sir also joined with us. Sir make certain corrections in their mode of teaching.

.After lunch, college management conducted an orientation class on the use of library and the facilities available in the college library. The orientation class was taken by Renjini madam, librarian. This class helped us to know more about college library and we gave our suggestions to improve our digital library.

After that principal sir and bindu ma'am entered and gave us the school induction list and details regarding it.

I got Bethany Sarvodaya CBSE school, Nalanchira. After that principal gave some instructions on upcoming college union selection. Then we had holy mass. Day ended.....

Science day🥰(4/3/21)

After a long quarantine week, I started going to college from today onwards.Today we had demonstration classes of our seniours. They demonstrate and teache very well. They illustrate enquiry model and role play model of teaching for us. It was a new experience for us.

 

Then one hour  after lunch  was taken by maya teacher. Then we had science day programme from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Physical science, natural science and maths department were conducted the programs. We the physical science department won the overall. Happy day......

Today we had online classes due to motor vehicle strike. Our online classes starts at 8.30  am.

First hour was taken by joju sir. Sir explains about the assighnments and works we have to done in the first sem. Then sir taught about 'How can we write a practicum '. And also explains about the steps required for writing practicum.

 

Next hour was taken by gibi ma'am from 10.00 am to 11.00 am.Teacher taught about personality development. Personality is from latin word "personae" means Through sound. Personality development of a person depends on attitude, integrity, interrelation, mannerism, smile, way of approach etc. Teacher also introduce the famous quote "DO IT NOW" by APJ from wings of fire. We should ready to do everything punctually without wasting time other wise we may have to regret about the lost time. She also give an assignment to write about the Introspections of our mind.

Then we utilise next optional hour for writing lesson templates of microteaching.So one more day went by......
