Days of Anxiety:From 23 to 26

Unexpected days of stress and starin.....

From  23 feb 2021 onwards, few students in our clasroom have to went for quarantine, including me. Because our roommate confirmed covid positive. So hostelers and our some class mates went for testing covid. And adviced for 1week quarantine. So it was a stress full week for us. We get tensed about the results.

Many of the friends support us. Our teachers too.It was too terrible for me to continue in a room without seeing any one. It was my second time. Getting bored. So we the quarantine colleagues make group video calls every day.

Any way, By god's grace and lot of prayers, Most of us test covid negative. But again one of our friend become positive...I wish that our 2 friends get well soon quickly . Thanks to god. Once more thanks to one and all, for the prayers and support.Eagerly waiting for those beautiful college days..... ❤❤

Inspiring Stories(22/2/21)

Asusual the day starts with a small prayer at chapel. Then first hour was taken by our dear Gibi ma'am. She taught us about process of learning.Process is more important than product or Goal.Then she mentioned about Swan Effect “Be like a swan, graceful but furiously paddling below the surface.” For being the best we need to work hard.

Then arrived our dear Maya ma'am. Each of us are in the tension and fear of Test paper. Luckily, the teacher postponed the exam and taught the rest of realism:Curriculum,Subjects,Teaching Methods,Maximum sensory Experience through Audio/Visual aids etc.Then she explains about six steps of Herbartian approach of lesson planning.

Next was our Optional hour.Neena madam taught us about six steps of scientific methods. Also taught us Mills's cannons law. Moreover today we all did our first seminar presentations also.

 In the afternoon, our Ancy teacher took the class. We learned about Communication, Process of Communication,Types of communication 

Next 2 periods was taken by Joju Sir.Sir told us two stories that we should remember on our whole life time. One was a story of human nature and other story was about how to convey things to children in an engaging way. Then Sir listed out 10 important characteristics of Teaching Aid. Day ended.

First, last & middle😊(19/2/21)

 As usual the day starts with a small prayer. Then first hour was taken by Maya ma'am. she taught us the Aims of Education, Harmony and Curriculum of the Realism school of philosophy. She then told that, the key elements of life is the real life experiences of an individual. 

The second hour was taken by Archana ma'am. She  taught us the Foundational theories of psychology - Behaviorism,  Cognitive Psychology, Humanistic Psychology and the Gestalt Psychology. 

The third and fourth hour was taken by our respected principal Benedict Sir. Sir said that, teaching could create an "Aha Experience" to the learners. Earlier education is considered as a bipolar concept (teacher and student)  and now it is changed to a tripolar concept which includes: teacher, student and society. What is mean by a Stakeholder:-  the one who has a  responsible position in any organizational management can be called as a stakeholder. The most significant stakeholder in education is students.The three stages of life is :-P-parenthood, A-Adulthood:          C-Childhood.

Then sir said us to form three groups according to the first child, middle child and younger child of the family. And he told us to write the positive and negative side of being in that particular position in the family. I belong to the first child of the family, so I am in the first group. Uthara from english department represents our group and discuss the points. It was a new experience.

The fifth and sixth hour was taken by Joju Sir. Sir .  teached us Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience. Dale has introduced the Cone of Experiment concept in a textbook on " Audio-Visual Methods in Teaching ".

 

The seventh hour was given us to discuss about the Club activities. And the eighth hour was Physical Education. 

Thus the day ended. Have a beautiful weekend. 

Horse power(18/2/21)

 The day started with prayer. First hour was Yoga, d. The second hour was taken by Maya ma'am. She taught us the demerits of Naturalism and entered to the third school of philosophy that is,  Realism. And she shared the over all idea of realism.   

The third hour was taken by Ancy ma'am.  she introduced Vygotsky (psychologyist) and Noam Chomsky (American Linguist) and their contributions to language. Vygotsky contributed four stages for the development of language. According to Chomsky, children learn language by five steps. Thus she completed her portions in psychology. 

The fourth hour was taken by Archana ma'am . She taught us for the first time. She taught us  Psychology, it's branches and schools of psychology . Then she moved to Structuralism and Functionalism.

 The fifth hour was taken by Giby ma'am. She taught us the Learning Process  of educational psychology. Then she asked us, how to  give water to a horse and she compared the horse with students and said us to imagine ourselves as teachers, and asked us to give water to the horse even though they didn't needed. Like that how we put information in students without letting them know about it. we must put information.,without distracting the student

The sixth hour was library. During the last two hours, the selection process of Club were taken place. Our respected Principal  Benedict Sir has taken initiative to introduce the clubs to us. There were 12 Clubs. And we were suppose to participate atleast in one club according to our interest.  And we were separated to 12 groups according to our clubs and selected a president, vice-president and secretary. And I belong to the creative club

ആരവങ്ങൾക്കും ആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്കും ദീർഘ വിരാമമിട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഇന്നു മുതൽ അറിവുകൾ  തേടി വീണ്ടും ക്ലാസുകളിലേക്ക്.  ഇന്നത്തെ ദിവസം പതിവിൽ നിന്ന് വിപരീതമായി  M. Ed കാരുടെ അസംബ്ലിയുടെ കൂടിയാണ് തുടങ്ങിയത്. പ്രാർത്ഥനയോടും ശുഭചിന്ത യോടു കൂടി തുടങ്ങി പുത്തനറിവുകളിലേക്ക് ഞങ്ങളെ  കൊണ്ടുപോവുകയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് പ്രതിജ്ഞ ഏറ്റു  ചൊല്ലിയപ്പോൾ പഴയ സ്കൂൾ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ ഗൃഹാതുരത്വം എന്നിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോയി. പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ബെനഡിക്ട് സാറിന്റെ നല്ലൊരു ചിന്ത യോടു കൂടി അസംബ്ലി അവസാനിച്ചു.

 തുടർന്ന് ആദ്യത്തെ രണ്ട് പിരീഡ് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഓപ്ഷണൽ ആയിരുന്നു.സയന്റിഫിക് മെത്തേഡ്സ് എന്ന്  വിഷയത്തെ പറ്റിയാണ്  നീന ടീച്ചർ ക്ലാസ് എടുത്തത്.

 പിന്നീട് ജോജു സാറിന്റെ ക്ലാസ്സിനായി ആയി ഞങ്ങൾ തയ്യാറെടുത്തു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു രെജു സാറിന്റെ വരവ്.

ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് എസ്തറ്റിക്സ്എന്ന വിഷയവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടാണ് സാർ ക്ലാസ്സെടുക്കാൻ വന്നത്. ഏറ്റവും രസകരമായ ഒരു ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ആയിരുന്നു അത്. അധികം ആയാസപരമ ല്ലാത്ത   രീതിയിൽ ഞങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ട് ഓരോ ആക്ടിവിറ്റീസ് ചെയ്യിപ്പിച്ചു. അട്ടഹസിച്ചു ചിരിക്കാനും ഏങ്ങലടിച്ചു   കരയാനും  ഒക്കെ സാർ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു. കുറച്ച് സമയം പിന്നിട്ടപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ വെള്ളിനക്ഷത്രം എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ ലൊക്കേഷനിൽ ആണോ എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പോയി . കാരണം ഒരേ സമയം ചിരിക്കാനും കരയാനും സാർ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു.  വളരെ രസകരവും ഉന്മേഷകരവും ആയ ഒരു ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ആയിരുന്നു അത്. 

 തുടർന്ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം മായ ടീച്ചറുടെ ക്ലാസ്സ് ആയിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിപ്പിച്ച  നാച്ചുറലിസം എന്ന ടോപിക്കിൻറെ  തുടർച്ചയാണ് ഇന്നു എടുത്തത്.

 അടുത്ത ക്ലാസ്സ് എടുക്കാൻ വന്നത് ജിബി ടീച്ചറായിരുന്നു. ടീച്ചറിന്റെ ക്ലാസും അത്യന്തം രസകരവും വിജ്ഞാനപ്രദവുഉം ആയിരുന്നു. മലയാളത്തിലെ സരിഗമപാ എന്ന സ്വരസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ക്ക്  പകരമുള്ള  "Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti" എന്ന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വേർഷൻ ടീച്ചർ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് പാടിത്തന്നു.

 അവസാനത്തെ പീരീഡ് joju സർ വരികയും സെമിനാറിനുള്ള പോഷൻ തിരികെയും  ചെയ്തു. മറ്റൊരു നല്ല ദിനം കൂടെ കടന്നു പോയി.......

Pheonitics practice (16/2/21)

The clases starts with a small prayer at college chapel. Principal announced us to gathered for the inauguration of pheonitics lab.it was a new experience for us we let to know two new words "genre" and "rendezvous ".our friends at English department taught how correctly prounce these words.Principal sir told us that we all should use this facility to improve our English language. We get inspired by his inaugural speech.

First hour was taken by Ancy miss, she taught us the  stages of kohlberg'smoral development.Next hour was taken by Maya miss she taught us the Forms of Naturalism .and its levels .

Next hour joju sir taught us the 4 Revolutions  in education,The 5 M's in educational technology and its meaning too. Afternoon 2  hours are optional.we do our assighnments at that time.

Next hour giby madam explains about the role of teacher in educational psychology. Then joju sir explained about the influence of media in our life and his experience too in that field. Day ends

Talent hunt day 3

 Asusual, the class starts with a prayer. First hour was taken by Giby madam. She ask questions to us. Then she recite a peom and ask us to imagine the scenes related to that poem.Then teacher explains about competancy required  for a teacher.

Second hour was taken by Maya madam. Teacher teaches about Naturalism and types of naturalism.

Third hour was optional. It was taken by Neena madam. Teacher explains about what is science? ,scientific attitude and scientific methods.

Afternoon section, we had talent hunt day program of Malayalam and Social science departments. Performance of both departments are mind blowing.

UTL- Undestanding, Teaching, learning

As usual, the class starts with a prayer. But we don't have regular class today, we had an orientation class led by Dr G. V Hari sir. Sir discuss about the three phases of teacher learning. They are understanding, teaching& learning(UTL).  Sir also added that we should energise, becuase it makes us to learn intellectually. Every Teacher should have perfect content knowledge. It would acquire through allegories. Teachers should make " A SMILE "(Appreciation, support, monitoring, involvement, love & empathy). Sir also sings small poems of," kunjunny mash "and entertained us. It was a very informative and motivated class for us.

Afternoon section we had talent hunt day program of  Natural science and English Department. Both departments done very well. Their programs was very beautiful and stunning

INNISAE- Talent hunt day 2(11/2/21)

Today was the day,I most awaited. Becuase today was our talent hunt day. Our solasta family presents "INNISAE". On morning sections, the classes were taken by Ancy maa'm and Maya maa'm. After lunch we had our talent hunt day programmes of maths department and physical science department. Both departments done very well. All students in our class works together sincierly.We could make everyone happy, joyful as well as thoughtful through out the programme.Teacher's  mentioned about our each programes and congrats us.Also I am so happy  to get participated in almost all program conducted by our class.Most unforgettable momments....😍

Try to hunt our talents -Day(10/2/21) 1

 10/2/21

Today was the inauguration day of  65th

 B. Ed batch of our college. So that we could wear sarees and become beautiful😜. chief guest of our funtionwasProf. Dr Prasad sir, former V.C and the director of SCERT. The function started at 9.15 am.After some valuable speech by our guest and principal, the function ended with prize giving ceremony for the UGC qualified students. Then  we all after having tea and cake. Then we headed back to class.

After lunch we had Ancy teacher's class. Then attend M. ED student teachers talent hunt.That program was ammazing. They had a shadow program. It was really entertaining....Any way waiting for our tommorow's talent hunt day prgrm🥰

E+Duco= Education (9/2/21)

feb 9/21

 The day started with prayer. The first hour was taken by Joju Sir. Sir discussed about tomorrow's ingauration for our batch. Then he said us to utilize the opportunities that come across our life. Then he teached about the scope of educational psychology based on teacher related and student related. Then he called out all the participates participated in discussions and other activities to the stage and give choclates to each of them

The second hour was taken by Ancy ma'am. .she discussed about Later Childhood (6-12years) and it's features ,then role of parents and teachers.

 The third hour was taken by Maya madam. she has teached the Parts of Vedas, Methods of teaching, Role of teacher,  contributions and limitations of idealism.

The fourth and fifth hours was optionals.And we had practised for the talent hunt programme. Then we clean our lab and class room.

 Next hour was taken by Giby ma'am. She has given a task for Br.Albin for being late in her class. And he has done it well. Then ma'am teached us Educational Psychology. She has given us another etymology of education that is, E + Duco meaning within leading out

Again,last 2 hours where given for talent hunt programme practice.Eagerly waiting for talentday....😄

Holy friday ⛪️(5/2/21)

feb 5,2021  

 The day started with prayer. The first hour was taken by Maya ma'am. First of all she has given us some general advices of how to be positive in a negative situation and how to be a good human being. Then,she teached us the five schools of philosophy and they are idealism, naturalism, realism, pragmatism and humanism.

Later we had Ancy ma'am's class, where we discussed about the development in the early childhood phase. In our college, spirituality is an important part of education. We had the holy mass for the first Friday of the month.

Afternoon session was left aside for our Talent hunt dance practice 😹. I hope we did a great job today. We are eagerly waiting for the talent hunt day.getting excited 😄😄

Yoga heals the soul🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

 As usual the day started with prayer at chapel. Then  yoga classes starts at 9:30.Sir taught us "vajrasana" which is a  type of nuero muscular excecise in yoga. Also shows us some simple yoga movement. That section was intresting.

Next hour was taken by maya madam. She explains about the importance and influence of education in philosophy. Then teacher played with us a game that help us to find our personality through identifying an animal.The animal i got was lion.

Next hour was taken by Ancy madam. Teacher explains about different stages of development.

Then joju sir Sir continued yesterday's panel discussion on the topics, "How technology helps in teaching "and "dangers of technology.

Last hours we  discussed about the programs do for the talent hunt programme..

Knowledge is power📖

 

As usual,today classes start at 9'0clock with a small prayer. First hour class was taken by Neena madam. Teacher explains about the characterstics of teacher behaviour.

Second hour class was taken by gibi madam. Teacher taught us about psycho analytical theory of sigmund freud. It was intresting.

Next hour, joju sir came and asked us to do ourbpresentations on the topics dangerous of technology and how technology helps teaching. Out of 8 groups, three of them were present .All presentations are informative.

 First hour,after lunch was taken by maya madam.she explains about fields of philosophy.Next hour was taken by Ancy madam. She tauht the rest of yesterday's Erikson's theory.

Last period was P. T period. We play basket ball. It was a new experience for me. I enjoyed it a lot.End of an another sunnyday......

കലയും കലാലയ ജീവിതവും🏫📖

 

ഒരു പൂവിന്റെ ഓരോ ദളങ്ങൾ പൊഴിയും പോലെ കലാലയ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ഓരോ ദിനങ്ങൾ കൊഴിഞ്ഞു പോയിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.  എന്നിരുന്നാലും അധ്യാപനം എന്ന് അറിവിന്റെ പുതു നാമ്പുകൾ ഓരോദിനവും മുളച്ചു കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കുന്നു. 

ഇന്ന് ആദ്യത്തെ പീരീഡ് ക്ലാസ് എടുത്തത്  ആൻസി ടീച്ചർ  ആയിരുന്നു.  "എറിക്സൺ തിയറി ഓഫ് സൈക്കോ സോഷ്യൽ ഡെവലപ്മെന്റ് " എന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ആണ് ടീച്ചർ ക്ലാസ് എടുത്തത്.

ശേഷം ടീച്ചർ ഞങ്ങളോട് ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തിലേക്ക് പോകാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവിടെ ഞങ്ങളെ കാത്തിരുന്നത് സീനിയേഴ്സ് ന്റെ മികവുറ്റ കലാപ്രകടനങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു. ഓട്ടൻതുള്ളൽ, നൃത്തം തുടങ്ങി എല്ലാ കലാരൂപങ്ങളും ചിന്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും, ചിരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും, അതിലേറെ ആസ്വാദകരവും ആയിരുന്നു.  പിന്നീടാണ് പാഠ്യേതര പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഒന്നാണ് ഈ പരിപാടി എന്നും, ഞങ്ങളും ഇതൊക്കെ ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വരുമെന്നും അറിഞ്ഞത്. അതുപോലെ മായ ടീച്ചർന്റെ ജന്മദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ടീച്ചർ ഞങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും മധുരം നൽകി.

 മായ ടീച്ചർ ആണ് അടുത്ത പീരിയഡ് ക്ലാസ് എടുത്തത്. ഫിലോസഫിക്കൽ ബേസ് ഓഫ് എഡ്യൂക്കേഷൻ എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി ആണ ടീച്ചർ സംസാരിച്ചത്.

 ഉച്ചക്ക് ശേഷം ആദ്യത്തെ പീരീഡ്  നീന ടീച്ചറാണ് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തത്. കോവിഡ് പ്രോട്ടോകോൾ അനുസരിച്ച്, പാലിക്കേണ്ട നിയമങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ഉള്ള ഒരു ലഘുവിവരണം അടങ്ങിയ ചാർട്ട് ടീച്ചർ ക്ലാസിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹപാഠിയായ ഗ്രീഷ്മ ആണ് ആ ചാർട്ട് ചെയ്തത്.

 ശേഷമുള്ള രണ്ട് പീരീഡ് ജോജു സാറായിരുന്നു. ആദ്യത്തെ പീരീഡ് സാർ ഞങ്ങളെ കോളേജ് ഗാനം പഠിപ്പിച്ചു. സാറിന്റെ കൂടെ നിന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ച് കോളേജ് ഗാനം ആലപിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

 ശേഷം പ്രചോദന പരമായ രണ്ട് കഥകൾ കൂടി സാർ ക്ലാസിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഒരു ടീച്ചർ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് അമ്മയെ പോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം എന്ന ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട്  സർ ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.      നല്ലൊരു                                    നാളെക്കായുള്ള                  കാത്തിരിപ്പ് ഓടുകൂടി....................

The law of readiness📖📖

 As usual the class started at 9'o clock with a small prayer. But one peculiarity is that today we had an orientation class by joby sir from 9.30 to 12.30 on the topic "Reflective self discovery".He did lot of  information and  concentration based funny activities with us.Each of the activities he played with us, was meant to tell us what lesson we had to learn in our practical life. Sir concluded the class with explaining five points required for maintaining a good relationship..They are Respect,Understanding, Caring, Cooperation and Responsibility.sir also addded the peculiarities required to be a good teacher.

 After lunch the first period was taken by maya madam. She gives seminar topics for us. Teacher taught about functions of education and types of education                              

Next hour, the class was taken by joju sir. Sir explains about Hardware and soft ware technology. Also explains about laws of readiness,Technology in and of education

Last hour was physical education. We played the game lamb and lion. It was lot of fun.
